Stokke Xplory

The development process lasted one year; from concept to the product was launched and ready for mass production. This project gave us a lot of new tasks to solve, compared to the other range of products we have developed. I.e.: Material selection, strength calculations, regulations (for child safety), and physical crash-tests has been some of the tasks forcing extra attention. Like all the other products we develop, we also in this case have had the total responsibility in developing the injection molds (plastic and aluminium) together with our sub-contracted mold makers. This goes also for mechanical parts such as screws, springs and brackets. Most of the subcontractors are situated in Asia. For our Engineering crew, this project has been interesting and fun, and we are really happy with the outcome, in Quality - Function - Design.
