Royal visit
The Norwegian Royal Crown Princess Mette Marit visits Eker Design
Monday at noon, the Norwegian Crown Princess arrived at Eker Design AS to meet with Bård Eker and his design crew.
A great reward for me and my team, we are about 250 people, which are all responsible for our success, and a visit from the Royal Family is a great acknowledgment for the work we do, says Bård Eker.

New web site
Eker Design launches their new web site
Eker Design is glad to announce that we have launched our new web site. For a long period of time we have looked well after all our clients needs, but forgotten a little about ourselves, therefore we are happy to finally push the release button for this new, minimalistic and easy navigable new site, which will take us into the future. The site launched today is still in its early stages, and we will continuously update it with more interactive functions over the next weeks.

Happy Garden wins Design award
Eker Design med ny suksess
Happy Garden - Manuell dypgjødsler, oppfinneren av Happy Garden ønsket å utvikle en dypgjødsler for hage-, skog- og jordbruk. Det fantes ikke noe lignende redskap i det europeiske markedet, dermed ble den største utfordringen å finne frem til en form som skulle være tiltalende og funksjonell både for proff-, semiproff- og massemarkedet.

Happy Garden er et produkt man blir glad for å se. Den tilsynelatende enkle oppfinnelsen gjødsler dypt ned i rotsonen, istedenfor å strøgjødsle oppå bakken. Forbruket av gjødsel kan dermed reduseres betydelig, samtidig som man i stor grad unngår å gjødsle ugresset. Dessuten unngår man avrenning og forurensning av nærliggende vannkilder. Happy Garden gjør effektiv gjødsling mulig også der det er benyttet dekkduk og dekkbark. Gjødsleren er funksjonell og intuitiv i bruk. Formuttrykket er åpent og alle bevegelige deler synes. Den kan demonteres raskt uten tilleggsredskap og rengjøres på en enkel måte. Happy Garden bør kunne få et bredt nedslagsfelt blant alle som sørger for at det spirer og gror.

C-27 wins Design Award
Eker Design and Hydrolift with another design icon
On March 12th Hydrolift received from the Norwegian Design Council the Award for Design Excellence. This is an important mark of approval and recognition that Hydrolift continues to design and build boats of the highest standard. With this award for the C-27 now every Hydrolift model has received this prestigious award. The Award for Design Excellence is the leading award for design in Norway. It's purpose is to stimulate the industry to use design as an important tool in product development and market communication. The Award for Design Excellence is a recognition for design quality and a visible proof that companies and designers jointly have developed a good product. Good products are distinguished by the consideration of it's functional, technical, economical and esthetical aspects, in addition to marketing and environmental considerations.

Nytt klimakammer
Challenge 1400L fra ACS
Eker Design har utvidet maskinparken og investert i et nytt klimakammer fra ACS med mulighet for trykk, temperatur og fuktighetstester. Kammeret vil kunne benyttes til kvalifiserende produkttester, så vel som kontinuerlig gjennom hele utviklingsprosessen av nye produkter.

Design Talks
Bård Eker to speak at Design Talks 24 april 2008
Design Talks, som arrangeres for 3. gang, setter fokus på design, form og estetikk - og hvordan dette kan gi bedre profilering og økt verdiskaping i organisasjoner og bedrifter. Design Talks byr på foredrag på et høyt faglig nivå, og skal være en tverrfaglig møteplass for organisasjoner, næringsliv, offentlig forvaltning, utdannelsesinstitusjoner og designere i ulike disipliner.
Design Talks arrangeres i inspirerende omgivelser på Kapp Melkefabrikk ved Mjøsas bredd den 24. april 2008.
Design Talks arrangeres av M8 Design, K8 industridesign og Kapp Næringshage. Gode samarbeidspartnere er Innovasjon Norge og Næringsrådet for Gjøvikregionen.

World Premier
projectiondesign introduces WUXGA projectors
On Tuesday 29th January, projectiondesign unveiled the brand new F10 wuxga and F30 wuxga - two new projectors featuring native 1920 x 1200 resolution DLP technology. The product launch was made at the Integrated Systems Europe trade show in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Team Building
Skeikampen februar 2008
As part of a strategy to improve our working environment and strengthening the Eker Design team spirit, we spent an action packed weekend in the beautiful surroundings of Skeikampen. The days where filled with different team building activities and group work as well as some activities to satisfy our need for speed, such as ATV racing, snow scooter racing and alpine skiing.

New Logo
Eker Design introduces their new logo
Bård Eker Production has changed its name to Eker Design. The object of the company is to provide industrial design services, product development, pototype making, engineering, 3D modelling etc. Because of this name change we have touched up the company logo, giving it a more modern font.

Ecosse Spirit ES1 Super Bike
The Eker Design Team has in one week produced a life size model of the new Ecosse Spirit ES1 Super bike.
The design drivers behind the bike are relatively simple: light weight, low aerodynamic drag and improved rider ergonomics. But chieving profound improvements in all areas has required genuinely inventive steps to bring F1 technology to the motorcycle world.
